Important: Membership billing, job payments, Stripe Connect payouts, refunds and bank deposits are not live on ScretchIt yet. We will not ask you to enter your payment card or bank account on this public release.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free to sign up right now?
Yes. Creating an early member account or applying as a provider does not involve a charge. The $5 access plan is planned, but checkout is not enabled.
Do workers pay for background checks or certificates?
No. ScretchIt intends to cover the cost of approved checks and professional license verification for eligible providers. We never ask workers to pay a verification fee. Screening requires separate notice and consent.
Is $5 recurring?
The intended $5 product provides 30 days of access. We plan to clearly offer renewal choices and disclose any automatic billing before a member pays. No subscriptions are active.
How will workers be paid?
After launch approval, the platform intends to use Stripe Connect for secure onboarding, commission allocation and payouts to each provider's bank. This is not active yet.
